Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit organisation working in more than 60 countries.

Home is the foundation on which we build our lives. Yet today, one in three people worldwide lack access to safe, affordable housing. That’s the reality we are working to change.

In Romania, since 1996, we have supported more than 100,000 people through our housing and community development programmes. Together with more than 55,000 volunteers and thousands of dedicated partners, we have built or improved over 5,100 homes.

or more than 50 years, Habitat for Humanity has been working around the world to help people build, improve and access safe, affordable housing. Together with supporters, volunteers and partners, we have built not only homes, but a global movement.

Since its founding in 1976, Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 29 million people improve their housing conditions. Through our programmes, we support people and communities in building stronger, more independent and resilient futures.

Housing poverty is a complex global challenge that requires a wide range of solutions. Together with our partners and volunteers, we develop innovative housing solutions and create opportunities for people to access safe, affordable housing.

Our global impact is made possible through strong partnerships with international organisations and institutions, including the World Bank, the European Union and UN-Habitat, as well as many other partners who help expand and sustain our work.

Habitat for Humanity Romania is part of this global network, contributing to Habitat’s worldwide impact. Through our projects, we adapt global expertise to local needs and work alongside communities to create lasting change.
