Every year, hundreds of volunteers from Romania and around the world join Habitat for Humanity’s mission, working side by side to build homes, and, more importantly, to help families build strength, stability, and hope.
In 2026, we will build six homes for six vulnerable families in just five days, from Monday through Friday.
Join us and experience the unique energy of a build site where hundreds of hands and hearts come together to make a lasting difference.
No construction experience is required, just a genuine desire to help. Our Habitat for Humanity team will provide all the guidance and training you need throughout the week.
This is what HOPE BUILD is all about:
The volunteer experience begins before you step onto the build site. By registering for a Habitat event, you also become a fundraiser for the project you are supporting.
Each volunteer creates a personal fundraising campaign and shares it with friends, family, and colleagues. In this way, your contribution goes beyond the time and effort you dedicate on site, it also helps cover the cost of building materials, tools, and equipment needed to build safe, decent homes.
Volunteer activities are organized into different workstations, such as wall assembly and installation, carpentry, finishing work, and other construction tasks.
Volunteers work in teams and contribute to different stages of the construction process under the guidance of our technical specialists. No previous construction experience is required. Our team provides training, instructions, and support throughout the day to ensure a safe and well-organized working environment.
As a Habitat volunteer, you’ll be responsible for your accommodation and travel expenses. We also ask participants to support our fundraising campaign, which helps cover the cost of building materials, safety equipment and meals on the build site.
